Nearly a Year Ahead

Sometimes I just wonder how I can find all these warrior cat books so far in advance its kinda creepy...I say this because I just found out the release date of 2010's Super Edition, Skyclan's Destiny! It comes out August 3 2010. Amazon really is the best website in the world. haha. Anyway, I am happy Erin Hunter is coming out with another book about Skyclan because the first Super Edition was called Firestars Quest and it was about finding a 5th clan called Skyclan that had been exiled from the forest. It told about him going and finding decendants from the clan and telling them about their heritige. They formed a new Skyclan, but not anywhere near the other four clans. They used the area where Skyclan refuged once they left the forest. After that, the story was just sort of left there so thats why I am happy that we will find out more about Skyclan.

Make up your Mind!

Ok, so I have done deep thinking (not really it just sounds cool) and I have discovered that they have changed the cover of Warrior Cats Omen of the Stars #2 Fading Echoes. From one of my previous postings I put two possible covers to Fading Echoes. Before, the cover was going to be the tan-orange cat but now when I go to amazon.com this cover comes up. I guess its ok that they changed it because its coming out April 6 2010...but still!

Along with the updates, Shattered Peace the first book in the new manga series Ravenpaw's Path comes out November 24 2009 along with the first book in the first book in the Omen of the Stars set of Warrior Cats books, The Fourth Apprentice.

GUESS WHAT?!

I got an email from Erin Hunter (well not really its that automatic thing called AuthorTracker but thats not all) and she told everyone the name of Omen of the Stars #3! It is called Night Whispers. Itsnt that a great name? It sounds nice. She is also writing Skyclan's Destiny. Skyclan's Destiny is next year's Super Edition. (coming out August 2010) The past super edition's have been Bluestar's Prophecy and Firestar's Quest. I just had to post that because I get so excited when I hear another book is coming out! :-) Will keep you updated!

The Fourth Apprentice

I was going to put the amazon review in here and my own review, but since it wont copy, I guess everyone will have to settle for mine. :-)

It had been moons since Hollyleaf had died, and the clans were living in peace. Jayfeather lay curled in the medicine cat den, letting the thick sent of herbs drift into his nose. Leafpool was in the nursery caring for Whitewing's kits, Dovekit and Ivykit. Lionblaze padded into the nursery carrying a freshly killed vole. "Thanks." Jayfeather muttered. Lionblaze narrowed his eyes. "What's with you?" Jayfeather sat up and streatched. "The prophecy! Who is the third cat? Dovekit or Ivykit?" Lionblaze had been trying to forget about the prophecy because he figured it was useless until Dovekit and Ivykit were mentored. "We have to complete the prophecy. We hold the power of the stars in our paws. We are stronger then StarClan."

"Please please can we play outside the nursery Whitewing?" Dovekit asked. "Its stuffy in here!" Ivykit complained. Whitewing sighed. Dovekit and Ivykit had been begging to go outside the clearing, but she decided they were old enough to not be grabbed by a fox or a falcon. She still remembered the stories her mother, Brightheart used to tell her about a kit who was picked right up by a falcon on his first journey out of the nursery. She shuddered at the thought. "Ok you two lets go outside." The kits shot out of the nursery and began tumbling over each other batting at falling leaves and rolling in the soft earth. "They will have to be apprenticed before to long." Brambleclaw, the Thunderclan deputy meowed. He sat down with his tail around his paws watching the kits tumble around with each other. It reminded him of when he and his sister, Tawnypelt, were kits. Tawnypelt left ThunderClan long ago because she said her clan was always compairing her to their father, Tigerstar, so she joined ShadowClan. "They are growing taller, and have alot of curiosity." Whitewing purred. Lionblaze poked his head out of the medicine cat den, noticing Dovekit and Ivykit scampering around outside the nursery. If only they knew. He thought. Soon their lives will change forever.

Which is Right?

Ok, I was on google today looking at pictures, and I saw a different cover for Warrior Cats: Fading Echoes. Im not sure which is right, because I read somewhere that the author was not sure EXACTLY what cover she would use, but I am pretty sure it is the one with the tan cat on it because that is the cover on amazon.com I think both of them are pretty cool!!

Crookedstar, past leader of Riverclan

In the beginning of the warrior cat series, Crookedstar is the leader of Riverclan. He is a very large light brown tabby tom cat with green eyes. He got the first part of his name 'Crooked' from when he was young he had an accident on the Riverclan border and he broke his jaw. He became an apprentice late because he was very sick. No one would have thought he would become the leader of his clan! He always took everything with high spirits though, and thats probably why he went on to becoming a warrior then deputy then leader.

His brother Oakheart always said that Crookedpaw should become leader, and Crookedpaw promised that if he ever became leader, he would make Oakheart his deputy. Later Crookedjaw was made deputy, and finally when Hailstar, the leader of Riverclan lost his 9th life, Crookedjaw wanted to make Oakheart his deputy, but he declined, saying he had not earned it yet, so Timberfur was chosen.

Later in the series, when Firepaw/heart/star comes in, Crookedstar is older, wiser, and has a daughter. She is Silverstream, Graystripe's mate. (that happens later) It is unknown who Crookedstar's mate is, but we know that his mother is Lilystem.
