Hope everyone had fun during the holidays, and a great new year! Here are some theories/spoilers for Yellowfang's Secret which is 2012's summer super edition.

Yellowfang has persian ansectries.(hinted by her flat face) I havn't heard of a persian in any of the books. Perhaps she isn't clan born, But we can never know for sure.-Whisperingmoon

I doubt her secret will have anything to do with Raggedstar, because, like you said, we already know about that. That would be pointless. I think(and hope) that it will be something new. Rainsplash3

Something Bigger...?

How does Bumblestripe play such a big role in the last Omen of the Stars book? I don't even think Ivypool likes Bumblestripe, so they wouldn't fight over him or anything. I was thinking that Dovewing needed someone with a little more character, but like Vicky said, its an important part of the plot. So many WC fans have been talking about how much they dislike DovexBumble, so maybe Bumblestripe will wind up doing something bad in the end?

Book Updates

SkyClan & The Stranger: After The Flood: amazon.com says "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available." This has been going on for awhile, the company that produces the Warrior Cats manga is having some problems (Tokyopop facebook page here) 


Hollyleaf's Story: (ebook) Not much has been released about this other then the fact that it is about Hollyleaf's life in the tunnels


The Last Hope: There have been tons of spoilers and theories about this book, here is a summary of some of the spoilers.


Enter the Clans: Another field guide which is only Secrets of the Clans and Cats of the Clans combined, but it has a Survivors teaser and Yellowfang's secret info.


Yellowfang's Secret: Release date unknown, but it has been confirmed that Kate is not writing it

Cinderheart

Now that Cinderheart knows she's Cinderpelt, what will she do? Erin is making it seem like she will go back to being a medicine cat, but I have a feeling that she will do something very important in The Last Hope, since she was reincarnated. StarClan says she came back to the Clans to live her true life as a warrior, but this is a list of cats that started out as apprentices/warriors and were forced/decided to become a medicine cat:

• Jayfeather
• Littlecloud

So Cinderheart had to have come back for a bigger reason. Also, the prophecy, "The end of the stars draws near. Three must become four to battle the darkness that lasts forever. . . " In past series, whenever there was a prophecy with "..." at the end, it normally meant that it wasn't completed. For example: "Darkness, Air, Water and Sky will come together...and shake the forest to its roots" The prophecy was not told all at once. This was from The New Prophecy, the second arc of the Warrior Cats series.

Maybe there will be another part to the Omen of the Stars prophecy, maybe as the release date comes closer, more information will be leaked!

Book 6 Theories

After reading The Forgotten Warrior, many questions have been devised, all of which will be answered in The Last Hope, the long awaited sixth and final book for Omen of the Stars. Who will be ThunderClan's new leader? Why is Onestar always acting so mean? What will happen to Jayfeather after being falsely accused of Flametail's death? So many questions--and NO answers! Here are my theories:

• ThunderClan's new leader: it will not be Brambleclaw, there is a possibility that it would be Lionblaze, but I don't think that will happen. It will probably be a crazy out-of-the-blue choice, like Hollyleaf or Cinderheart
• What will happen to Jayfeather: I don't think anything will happen to him, because it is confirmed that he gets an apprentice in the 6th book.
• What will happen to the Clans: I'm pretty sure they will beat the Dark Forest, but barely. Erin cannot end the series with all the clans dying and having the evil cats take over!
• What will happen to Tigerstar: I think someone will kill him, from ThunderClan or one of his kin. Maybe Tigerstar will be the one to kill Firestar?

The Forgotten Warrior Part 2

***SPOILER ALERT FOR THE FORGOTTEN WARRIOR***

• Cinderheart finds out she's Cinderpelt; Jayfeather walks in her dreams and shows her her past life and all her memories come back. Yellowfang comes to Jayfeather in a dream and admits that Cinderheart should not have been shown her medicine cat life, because it might stop her from being a warrior. Cinderheart doesn't act right for the rest of the book, she was caught between both of her lives, and then she says she wants to move into the medicine cat den, but Jayfeather doesn't allow it, saying that she is still Cinderheart and must be a warrior
• Bumblestripe and Dovewing are together alot in this book.
• Sol brings WindClan through the tunnels onto ThunderClan territory, but ThunderClan cats are already waiting in the tunnels, where they fight back using techhniques Hollyleaf taught them. WindClan retreats, and Sol shows up, and Hollyleaf almost kills him but he gets away, saying he will return
• Sorreltail has two more kits!

The Forgotten Warrior Part 1

***SPOILER ALERT FOR THE FORGOTTEN WARRIOR***

• The prologue is very interesting; it talks about a traveling cat who comes to the clans, at first I thought it was Hollyleaf coming out of the tunnels, but I'm pretty sure it was Sol, because he says something about revenge on the clans
• Hollyleaf is the forgotten warrior, and she is welcomed back into the clan; ThunderClan finds out she murderd Ashfur, but Brambleclaw tells everyone that he saw it, and she was only defending herself
• Sol returns-his motives are somewhat explained: he says that another clan kicked him out and since then he has wanted to destroy the clans and the warrior code (He was kicked out by SkyClan, read SkyClan and the Stranger)
• Sol comes back to ThunderClan, and all the new cats accept him and love him, but really he is plotting to have WindClan attack ThunderClan
• Dawnpelt of ShadowClan accuses Jayfeather for Tigerheart's death at the gathering, the other clan leaders  say that Jayfeather shouldn't be a medicine cat until proven innocent, but a thunderstorm comes and the clans leave before anything can be formally decided

Survivors...?

This blog is strictly Warrior Cats--no Seekers, but after all the rumors about Erin's new series, Survivors, I had to make a post about it.

• It will NOT be written by the Erin Hunters we know-It will be different writers who are using the name Erin Hunter (confirmed by Kate)
• It's also rumored that there will just be more writers added to the "Erin Hunter Team" but that seems unlikely
• The animal species it will be about is unknown (the most popular choices so far are: wolves, birds, and horses)

I don't look into Survivors as much as I do for Warrior Cats, but if any major news pops up, I will definitely post it!

(There has been so many spoilers/rumors/facts about this book already, but just to summarize...)

• Leafpool is the cat chasing after the squirrel on the cover
• It takes place about a year after Hollyleaf is trapped in the tunnels (the new arc stars 6 moons after the old one)
• More cats from ThunderClan join the Dark Forest
• Hollyleaf is the fourth cat
• SkyClan & The Stranger: Beyond the Code will be released on Nov. 22 as well

2. Yellowfang's Secret (next super edition)

• It will be talked about in Enter the Clans
• It will talk about Yellowfang raising Brokenkit/star and how he turned out to be so evil
• It will talk about her love with Raggedstar even though she is a medicine cat
• Maybe the book will start with Raggedstar being born, and end with her killing him?

Enter the Clans: More Info

• The book is 400 pages, and will be published by harpercollins. There not that much info on their site, but there is an amazon page up here. For some reason, it shows the cover of Crookedstar's Promise.
• It will cost $7.99 in the US, and $8.99 in Canada
• Yellowfang's Secret super edition is confirmed, but there is currently no release date

New Field Guide: Enter the Clans!!!!

Enter the Clans is a new field guide that comes out June 26, 2012. Its not a completely new book, its a combo of Secrets of the Clans and Cats of the Clans, the past two field guides. It's rumored that part of the Yellowfang super edition will be inside.

Next Manga

There's a lot of talk about a Hollyleaf manga series. Erin hasn't said anything about it, nothing is confirmed, but after the SkyClan manga series ends, there will probably be a new manga. I think the most possible cats would be:

• Hollyleaf
• Pinestar
• Yellowfang
• Tallstar

Hollyleaf's Story

An Ebook is being released MARCH 13, 2012 about Hollyleaf! It will be called Hollyleaf's Story, and will cost $2.99 (U.S.) It is most likely about Hollyleaf's life in the tunnels. More info can be found here about the book.

The movie will be produced by New Line Cinema!

The characters will look very real though, Erin Hunter said they would look somewhat like Narnia's characters 

And they say it will be out 2010 or 2011"

As we all know, this never happened. There were rumors for awhile that there would be a warrior cats movie, but it was never confirmed by Erin. 
Then there was this:

"There are currently no planned Warriors movies; however, in an August 2008 author chat, Victoria Holmes said:

Hey, it's the movie question! Well, we are in talks with a major Hollywood production company at the moment, but it's the earliest possible stage, so there's no script yet, or any plans for a release date. Things are looking much more hopeful than they were a year ago, but I can't say there will DEFINITELY be a movie, nor can I tell you when it would come out. Sorry!"


But this was from 2008. Vicky also said in a chat: "Which animation studio is working on the Warriors movies? We're not at this stage yet, I'm afraid. We've got some big producers who are very interested in taking the project forward, and we may have a director who's willing to work on a script, but we're nowhere near finding an animation team or starting production."
Wikipedia later confirmed that there would be a Warrior Cats movie somewhere from 2009-2011, but that never happened.  So no, there is currently no warrior cats movie being created.  It would make a lot of money though, there's tons of fans out there. Vicky once said that the market wasn't interesting in a talking animal movie, but look at Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole! (talking owls, written by Kathryn Lasky) That movie was popular, it came out with a Wii and DS game as well as plush owls. Warrior Cats is so much more popular, it would be such a good investment.

Next 2 WC Books...

A lot of spoilers have been confirmed by Vicky and/or Kate for The Forgotten Warrior and The Last Hope!
The Forgotten Warrior...

• Sol comes back (...darn...)
• Alot more cats will be joining the Dark Forest
• The fourth cat in the prophecy and the forgotten warrior are not the same (meaning Hollyleaf is NOT the fourth cat in the prophecy!)

The Last Hope...

• Firestar dies
• Jayfeather is looking for an apprentice (It is also rumored that Brightheart is having kits, maybe one of them?)
• Bambleclaw will not be the next leader but it has NOT been confirmed that he will die. The new leader will be unexpected.
• Spottedleaf and Pinestar (?) have large roles in this book

Cat House

This is an article about a house in Japan made just for cats. The article is here.

Its cool that someone made a house just for these cats...but you know, not many people think, "I'm going to make a house just for my cats today." I guess that's why it's cool.

Another interesting thing I found is this video of a cat climbing up a wall here. It's following a laser pointer, and it climbs up a completely flat wall, its hilarious. Enjoy.

Slow Months

These have been some slow months for the warrior cats series. The last book came out in the beginning of July, and the next book, The Forgotten Warrior, doesn't come out until late November.

Here are just a few interesting things noticed by the WC fans:

1. Mistyfoot (RiverClan) was oldish when Firestar came into the clans, while Mousefur had just become a warrior. Now Mousefur is an elder, and Mistyfoot is RiverClan's leader. She has been around for every single book!
2. In Code of the Clans, there is a story about kits drowning and going to StarClan. There, they are adult cats. On the other hand, when Bluestar's kit died, Mosskit, it stayed a kit in StarClan.
3. In the first series, it was said that all apprentices must journey to the Moon Stone before they can be warriors. After Graystripe and Fireheart go to the Moon Stone, it isn't mentioned at all that any other cat went before they had their ceremony.
4. In Crookedstar's Promise, it says that Rainflower is Crookedstar's mother, but in Bluestar's Prophecy, it says his mother is Lilystem.
5. In sign of the Moon, Rock says he was the first Stone Teller, but then Jayfeather discovers Half Moon was the first. 

Fifth Arc Rumors?

We all know there will be a fifth arc about the "ancient clans" but there is obviously more to that. It is rumored to  be about Thunder, Sky, Shadow, River, and Wind making the clans. Here are some RUMORED names for the fifth arc:

• Dawn of the Clans
• Birth of the Stars
• Rise of the Stars
• Birth of Justice
• Stars in the Sky

There is even some talk from fans about a sixth arc, which is not entirely out of the question, but since the Erins haven't even started the 5th arc that won't be confirmed for a few years.

Warrior Cats Manga?

The company that produces the warrior cats manga series (Tokyopop) is no longer publishing books, although it was the second largest manga publisher in the U.S. After the devastation in Japan, the company had many lay-offs, and this is the result. The real problem is that they might not give away their publishing rights, meaning that no other company could publish the stories. The only other option is that they give them back to the authors, so hopefully we can still have the rest of the SkyClan & The Stranger books, unless they were already mass produced, then there's nothing to worry about.

From the Warriors Wiki, it says that it is confirmed that Hollyleaf is the forgotten warrior, and that this book is "about how difficult it is to go back to a life you thought you'd left behind. It's also about forgiveness, and acceptance, and coming to terms with guilt."


The summary: The spirits of the Dark Forest are gaining strength, and Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing must face the destinies that await them. Suddenly, an outsider appears in ThunderClan’s midst, spreading discord and turning Clanmates against one another. As tensions mount, the warrior cats will be forced to choose whose word they can trust—before it’s too late.
What this may mean...

• Hollyleaf appears, and Jayfeather and Lionblaze are forced to tell the clan about the prophecy
• The clan starts arguing about 1.) who the 4th cat is 2.) what to do with Hollyleaf 3.) Who's in the Dark Forest
• They have to figure out who is with the Dark Forest and who is not, and they must warn the clans.

More spoilers & rumors...

• Leafpool is the cat on the cover (chasing the squirrel) Erin Hunter said that she still has a big role to play
• Ideas for the fourth cat: Foxleap, Hollyleaf, Ivypool, Cinderheart, Squirrelflight
• It is rumored that there will be "a gruesome death in book six." Possibilities: Firestar or Brambleclaw? :( So sad!
• Jayfeather is rumored to get an apprentice in OOTS6

Random WC Things

"Q: How big is the Thunderclan camp? I mean, is it as big as half a football field, or just an apartment backyard, or WHAT!? 

Vicky: Good question! It’s about ten acres, so ten football fields in a rough square."


I think Vicky misread "camp" and thought it was "territory".


"Q: Will you ever let Bloodclan show up again? I mean, it was a perfect group of villains! Wouldn't it be cool to have Bloodclan show up with a more evil leader than Scourge?

Vicky: Ah, I love how popular BloodClan is! I’m afraid they are no more, although we see their remnants in the Ravenpaw manga trilogy. Because they weren’t an organized Clan, united by common aims and a code of honor, without their dynamic leader Scourge they scattered to the four winds. Two cats try to resurrect the Clan but they don’t have a code of honor either so the cats are easily defeated once again."

NEW Super Edition

Next summer, the super edition will be focused on ShadowClan! Vicky confirmed it after a WC fan asked what was coming next in warriors. She replied:
" There's a RiverClan Super Edition coming out this year called Crookedstar's Promise, and a ShadowClan Super Edition next year, yippee! Also more Seekers books with the launch of the second series. And always more manga!"

Is Erin Hunter coming out with a whole new series? Oh the HarperCollins site, if you bring up the page about The Last Hope (OOTS #6), it mentions Survivors under the Marketing/Publicity section.

Firestar is on the cover of this one, it was confirmed, which makes sense since he started the whole Warrior Cats thing, and it's rumored that he will die in this book. And the background is the Dark Forest, and the lights are probably the cats' eyes that train there. More coming soon!

App Details

There is a section in the Warrior Cats app called "The Cats". It's mostly info that's already known, but some of them have "Exclusive Trivia".
For Firestar: his mother's name is Nutmeg! Before her kits were born, she had a dream that a ginger tom (Firestar) was standing on a rock, far away from her. She called to him, but he didn't hear.
For Cinderpelt: CINDERPELT LOVED FIRESTAR. She loved him since she became his apprentice, but never told anyone.
For Onestar: When he became leader, he hated how some of this clan mates didn't accept him, so he looked for Tallstar in one of his dreams and fought him, and Onestar won.

Stormkit

***SPOILER ALERT FOR CROOKEDSTAR'S PROMISE***


First of all, the beginning of the book is so sad. :( Rainflower, Crookedstar's mother, completely rejects him after he has his accident that deformed his jaw. She asks Hailstar, RiverClan's leader, for his name to be changed from Stormkit to Crookedkit, and then she makes him a separate nest in the nursery for him, so he had to sleep by himself as a kit while his brother got to be with his mother.
Other Events:

• Mapleshade trains Crookedstar in the Dark Forest, but he thinks she is a StarClan cat. She wants to see if he is loyal, and not "soft". She decided he was soft when he mated with Willowbreeze, and when he didn't kill Hailstar when he was on his last life. 
• Mapleshade was a ThunderClan cat who mated with a RiverClan cat, her clan cast her out when they realized what she did, and she brought her kits to RiverClan, but they drowned in the river. Her mate cast her out of RiverClan, so she had nowhere to go.
• The book goes from when Crookedstar was born, to when he dies (They have him die in the manga in the back of the book.)

Major Spoiler?

This is from Kate Cary's facebook page. I wonder what the title could be? It's the last book about these cats, the next series is about the earlier clans, so maybe this will be the end of them? That would be so sad :(

This is the new poll on Kate Cary's blog, asking what you would pick for the final book title in Omen of the Stars. Did she just make them up? Or will one of these be the real title..? According to amazon, the release date of OOTS #6 will be April 3, 2012.

Possibilities:

1. Hollyleaf-she thought she was part of the prophecy, but wasnt, and I think that this book is named after her, so it could be her
2. Ivypool-shes Dovewing's sister, but other then that, there is no evidence that she could be part of the prophecy.
3. Cinderheart-she would be "special" like Lionblaze and they could be together. She is also Cinderpelt.
4. A cat from another Clan-dont know who it would be, but its possible, since Erin made Flametail the POV in one of her books, plus, no one would expect it.

BLURB RELEASED

THE SECOND PART OF THE HEART OF THE FOREST BLURB HAS BEEN RELEASED!

It always seems like a "mysterious outside appears" and causes "bad stuff", but I still cant wait for this to come out.

MAYBE THE OUTSIDER IS HOLLYLEAF. A.) shes not part of any clan B.) She was probably the cat in the last book, so it only makes sense for her to come back in this one, plus its called "The Forgotten Warrior"

Foxleap

He came into the series in The Sight, the first Power of Three book, and he's a background cat...until Sign of the Moon. Foxleap is Icecloud's brother, and son to Ferncloud and Dustpelt. He goes to the Tribe with Dovewing, Jayfeather, and Sandstorm. He was actually supposed to have been taken by an eagle, (this was confirmed by Vicky) but was kept in the story. (I think its so Dovewing and Foxleap can be together, but it seems as though every cat likes Dovewing.) There will definitely be more about Foxleap in the upcoming books, especially with the battle with the Dark Forest coming closer and closer, he might side with the bad cats, but I don't think he will, but then again, who thought Blossomfall would?

Tokyopop

"The American branch of Tokyopop is shutting down in May, two months before the first volume is due to come out. It is unknown what the status of the manga is at this point - if it will actually happen now."

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but with the horrible damage in Japan it sort of makes sense. Hopefully since the first few manga books have already been completed, they will happen eventually.


Summary of all of this: The people who publish the WC manga is shutting down (temporarily) so the SkyClan manga release will be pushed back.

SOTM Part 2

1. Stormfur and Brook have kits! They are Lark that Sings at Dawn (Lark) and Pine that clings to Rock (Pine).
2. Stoneteller dies, and he had not named a new Stoneteller. Jayfeather hears Half Moon (the first Stoneteller) telling him who to choose, so he says that Crag will be the new Teller of the Pointed Stones

In the Forgotten Warrior...

• there will be more cats from ThunderClan that go to the Dark Forest
• Cinderheart finds out about her past life as Cinderpelt
• Firestar does die in the next book. :( Even though hes boring now, he was pretty awesome in the first series.
• Also, Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight make up, even though theres really no good reason for them to...
• Pinestar will be in the 6th book

It is CONFIRMED that there will be a 6th series about the dawn of the clans, which is cool, but I will miss all of the characters.

SOTM Part 1

***SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ SIGN OF THE MOON, THIS WILL RUIN THE ENDING!!!***

(SOTM=Sign of the Moon) This book explained a lot, and I think that the battle with the Dark Forest will either be the next book, or the one after that for sure.

1. Hollyleaf is alive. Jayfeather and Lionblaze went down into the tunnels again when another entrance was discovered by ThunderClan, and they found a tuft of Hollyleaf's fur, but not her body. Also, when Ivypool and Blossomfall explored the tunnels, they were guided out by two cats, one was Fallen Leaves, and they did not know who the other one was, and I think it was Hollyleaf.
2. Ivypaw and Dovepaw got their warrior names at the beginning of the book, and are know known ass Ivypool and Dovewing.
3. Jayfeather, Dovewing, Squirrelflight, and Foxleap traveled to visit the Tribe of Rushing
   Water, because Jayfeather had a vision that the prophecy would be explained more.
4. Jayfeather goes back to the time of the ancient cats, and Half Moon, one of the ancient cats, becomes the first Teller of the Pointed Stones (Stoneteller). When he is about to leave, he asks if he could stay there instead of returning to his own time.
5. Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing are reincarnated from Jay's Wing, Lion's Roar, and Dove's Wing, which are all part of the first cats in the Tribe.
6. When Jayfeather is about to leave, another part of the prophecy is revealed, saying there is a fourth cat, and there are not just three.

2012 Super Edition

2012's summer super edition might be featuring ShadowClan, and will be told from the point of Yellowfang.

 I think the next Super edition should be about a medicine cat. Like, maybe Yellowfang and having Raggedstar's kit's, so we can see what the name's of the two unnamed daughters are. Or, of course, Spottedleaf because I just believe she was one of the best medicine cat's of 
ThunderClan, and deserves a book about her :).


It might be called Yellowfang's Secret, but the book is still only an idea. It would be cool to have a super edition from the four medicine cats POV, but it would probably only center around Yellowfang.

the end?

So I was reading Kate's Blog, and at one point she writes, "Vicky emailed me yesterday to say the plot-line for OOTS6 is nearly complete...I’m expecting a lot of guessing and speculation from BlogClan about the Final Ending and I’m looking forward to reading your ideas."


Does that mean the final final ending? As in, the end of the Warrior Cats series? :( I hope that just means the end of the Omen of the Stars series....

Dove's Wing

When Jayfeather found the stick that connected him to the ancient group of cats, he was thrust back in time and was given the name Jay's Wing. His sister was Dove's Wing, which is close to Dovepaw's warrior name. Coincidence? Or did Erin Hunter do this on purpose? Are Jayfeather and Dovepaw reincarnated from Jay's Wing and Dove's Wing? It could be, since the ancient cats did not have a StarClan...
